Aircel’s Sales & Distribution head Jitendra Rahi quits

Telecom Lead Asia: Aircel’s all India Sales & Distribution head Jitendra Rahi has resigned.

Aircel has lost several key executives in the last one year.

Recently, Saudi Telecom Company (STC), which has 18.5 percent indirect stake in Aircel, said its investments in Maxis-promoted Aircel are not performing up to expectations. STC says it intends to employ continued focus to enhance the performance of Aircel. Aircel is the process of restructuring its operations in India.

Rahi joined Conplex International, global open market distributor & wholesaler of electronics products, as its executive director with equity stake in the company.

Rahi worked with Aircel for more than 4 years. Prior to joining Aircel, he was at senior management positions with telecommunication companies – Vodafone Essar (as chief operating officer) and Bharti Airtel (vice president, Sales and Business Development).

“Conplex has a distinct edge over the competition in terms of economies of scale and smart sourcing. This is precisely why its brands Magicon & Jivi have been able to offer feature-rich products at reasonable prices sans any compromise on quality. The objective is to take the leap from one of the fastest growing to one of the leading mobile phone & consumer brands in the days to come,” said Jitendra Rahi, executive director, Conplex International.
