TSSC and Britco & Bridco partner to deliver tech courses

Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSSC), a skill development institution for ICT, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Britco & Bridco (B&B), a mobile phone institute in India, to collaborate on skilling and placement.

The MoU is aimed at working together for the delivery of vocational courses to colleges and schools. This includes enabling TSSC’s certification or co-certification with B&B for programs, international placement support to TSSC students globally and B&B acting operating as Train the Trainer (ToT) academy of TSSC.

“The Indian mobile ecosystem is blooming under the current government programs like Make in India, PLI schemes for telecom equipment manufacturing and the NDCP. This partnership will help us expedite various mechanisms needed to fulfill the emerging demands of the sector,” said Arvind Bali, CEO of TSSC.

The MoU outlines joint commitment towards development of new programs for skill development. TSSC will help develop the programs which can be executed by B&B across their current 16 institutional centres in Kerala, UP and Delhi with 3 more centres planned for Kerala, and one each in Bengaluru, Chennai, and Mumbai as early as March 2022.

Muthu Kozhichena, MD for Britco & Bridco, said: “We already receive 100+ requirement for technicians monthly. With the growth of the ICT industry in our country, this demand will only increase in the future.  As academic partners of TSSC, we will increase our presence in the telecom sector which supports most of the national infrastructure and services.”

“We have ~100 highly skilled trainers across our centres who can help a candidate earn 3000-5000 daily if they choose to setup their own centre. This is a massive opportunity for the youth to gain financial independence and run a successful business.”

B&B will help TSSC create and develop Centre of Excellence (CoE) owned and operated jointly as “TSSC and B&B Centre of Excellence” at Polytechnics and ITl’s across India by the funding support of Private or Public entities. Britco & Bridco has a trainer setup of ~100 trainers. TSSC has already established CoE’s across India and plans to expand its scope along with B&B’s association.
