Telecom Lead Europe: Sunrise, a telecommunications
provider in Switzerland, has selected the Chinese telecom equipment maker
Huawei as its managed services partner for fixed and mobile network.
As part of the five-year deal, Sunrise will transfer
staff to Huawei.
This is one of the largest managed services contracts for
Huawei in Europe.
Huawei will manage Sunrise’s mobile and fixed network
including internet and IPTV. Huawei will provide a range of services, including
design and planning, network build and integration network performance
management, field operations, network operations, and spare parts management.
Sunrise will benefit from a significant improvement in
the network performance, end-user experience and network quality.
Through Huawei’s processes, tools and methodologies
Sunrise will gain quality and performance of both the fixed and mobile network.

Huawei has managed operations in many countries
throughout Europe, including United Kingdom, Spain, Germany, Holland, Italy and
Switzerland. To date, Huawei now has signed more than 240 contracts worldwide
with a compound growth rate of more than 70 percent for six consecutive years.
