Sunrise selects Comarch to offer of IoT services

Sunrise Communications, the largest private telecom operator in Switzerland, has selected Comarch to support the expansion of its offer of IoT services, with the Comarch IoT Connect Platform.
Sunrise 5G networkComarch, which is delivering its IoT Connect product as part of the new deal, will be integrated into OSS/BSS/Enterprise ecosystem and technical infrastructure of Sunrise. Sunrise launched the first stage of the project within four months of signing the contact, Comarch said.

Sunrise will use the Comarch IoT Connect platform to enter the fast-growing IoT market rapidly in order to generate new revenues.

“We chose Comarch as our IoT software provider, primarily because of the organization’s experience and great flexibility in adapting the product to our current and future needs, which minimizes involvement on our side,” says Alexander Lehrmann, director New Business Development and Innovation at Sunrise.

The Comarch IoT Connect platform will provide SIM ordering, SIM/eSIM card management, service provisioning, pre-billing, and real-time monitoring and alarm functionalities. The solution will have Comarch IoT Analytics Platform including collecting, aggregating and visualizing data from IoT devices.

The new system is working in the Sunrise cloud and is integrated with the company’s current CRM, billing and data warehouse platforms.

“The ability to deliver innovative products and services perfectly matching the preferences of individual and B2B customers has made Sunrise stand out competitively in the domestic telecom market,” says Jacek Lonc, head of Telco Sales and Business Strategy Division at Comarch.
