Smart Axiata taps 365squared for SMS traffic monetization

Telecom operator Smart Axiata has selected 365squared to filter spam messages and monetize its application-to-person (A2P) SMS traffic.

365squared, a managed service provider specialized in revenue assurance and managed solutions, said Smart deployed the service in Cambodia in October 2016 to deliver a better service for more than 8 million subscribers and provide new revenue opportunities.

Fraudulent SMS messages delivered through grey routes damage telecom network operators’ reputation by delivering spam messages to subscribers. The 365secure service monitors and filters SMS traffic from any source.

Smart Axiata can control SMS traffic, protect its subscribers and ensure monetization of SMS traffic terminating on the network by making investment in 365secure.

The 24/7 managed service from 365squared ensures that Smart subscribers are protected from unwanted spam and potential security threatening application-to-person (A2P) messages. The 365secure service provides traffic analytics and reporting thanks to the 365analytics software.

In January 2014, Smart launched its 4G LTE network and became the first and only mobile operator in Cambodia to provide 4G services. Smart’s 4G network is now available in 25 key provincial capitals as well as other key provincial cities.
