Samsung, the leading telecom equipment maker and the smartphone leader, has made several new announcements at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025.

Samsung has introduced its AI-optimized and software-centric network innovations for telecom operators.
Samsung CognitiV Network Operations Suite (NOS), a set of diverse AI-powered network automation applications, provides lifecycle management of the network from planning, deployment, operation to optimization.
Another focus was AI Energy Saving Manager, an AI-powered solution that analyzes traffic patterns to maintain network quality while reducing energy consumption by up to 35 percent.
Samsung Electronics has unveiled Galaxy A56 5G, Galaxy A36 5G and Galaxy A26 5G, the latest Galaxy A series smartphones. Galaxy A series is integrating Awesome Intelligence — including Galaxy’s fan-favorite AI-powered features to reimagine creativity — while bringing enhanced durability and longevity.
Samsung’s versatile virtualized RAN (vRAN) solution, its latest 5G radios and Samsung CognitiV Network Operations Suite (NOS), an, intelligent network automation solution, are the key highlights. Enterprise 5G use cases are on display.
Samsung has showcased its efforts in elevating software-based networks by leveraging its partner ecosystem, which spans servers, processors (CPUs, GPUs), cloud platforms, transport and more.
Samsung has partnered with Hyundai to complete Reduced Capability (RedCap) trial over a private 5G network. Using Samsung’s advanced private 5G solutions, the companies proved the potential of next-generation industrial private 5G connectivity by improving the battery life and energy efficiency of 5G IoT devices.
Verizon, in partnership with Samsung and Qualcomm, has deployed a multi-vendor RAN Intelligent Controller (RIC) in its commercial network, marking a key advancement in Open Radio Access Network (O-RAN) technology. This AI-driven solution enhances network efficiency and flexibility while supporting Verizon’s commitment to innovation and supplier diversity.
The deployment integrates Samsung’s AI-powered Energy Saving Manager (AI-ESM) with Qualcomm’s Dragonwing RAN Automation Suite, improving energy efficiency and sustainability without compromising performance. Field tests showed energy savings of up to 35 percent per sector during low-traffic periods. This initiative demonstrates the potential of AI in optimizing network operations and fostering a more open, vendor-neutral RAN ecosystem.
