Leveraging Nokia’s Lightspan access nodes and Altiplano automation platform, POST is pioneering the transition to a fully software-defined access network by the end of 2025.

POST is optimizing efficiency, capacity, and availability as part of transitioning to an all-fiber network by 2030, said Pierre Scholtes, Head of Telecom Networks at POST Luxembourg.

This strategic deployment enables POST to optimize its broadband services, ensuring greater efficiency, scalability, and enhanced customer experience. With Nokia’s Altiplano Access Controller, POST will improve network operations, enhance resource utilization, and future-proof its network for evolving digital demands.

As the demand for high-speed, low-latency broadband services continues to grow, POST Luxembourg is addressing operational challenges by embracing AI-powered automation. By deploying Nokia’s AI-ready fiber technology, POST will:

Enhance service reliability: Detect anomalies faster and anticipate network issues before they impact users.

Boost efficiency: Reduce processing errors, automate network management, and accelerate innovation.

Expand AI capabilities: Monitor up to 20x more network data points, enabling advanced AI-driven applications.

Optimize sustainability: Reduce energy consumption with real-time power monitoring dashboards.

Accelerate innovation: Use open APIs to introduce new features, deploy services faster, and integrate new equipment seamlessly.

Support next-gen connectivity: Provide XGS-PON and future 25G PON services for high-performance applications like cloud gaming and enterprise networking.

Building Luxembourg’s Future-Ready Fiber Network

“By leveraging Nokia’s Lightspan access nodes and the Altiplano automation platform, we are strengthening our network for AI-driven operations, ensuring higher reliability,” said Pierre Scholtes, Head of Telecom Networks at POST Luxembourg.

Enabling the Next Generation of Broadband

“As networks become more complex, operators need automation solutions to simplify management and reduce operational costs,” said Geert Heyninck, General Manager, Broadband Networks at Nokia. “Our Lightspan and Altiplano domain controller deliver 10/25G readiness.”
