Nokia XDR solution NetGuard Cybersecurity DomeGigaOm identified Nokia as a fast moving leader in the expanding Extended Detection Response (XDR) security software market, highlighting the company’s technical prowess and software expertise.

Nokia’s XDR platform, powered by AI and machine learning capabilities, provides robust network defenses for communication service providers (CSPs) and enterprises, particularly in the context of 5G networks.

The GigaOm report commends Nokia for its clear vision and comprehensive features in the XDR space. The platform enables the collection of data from diverse sources, incorporates a powerful automation engine, and offers intuitive dashboards and reporting capabilities.

Nokia leverages AI and machine learning to deliver threat detection and response capabilities to CSPs and enterprises. By combining data from various security technologies, Nokia’s XDR solutions empower security teams to identify and address threats in real time.

Nokia’s XDR solution — NetGuard Cybersecurity Dome — allows security operations teams to select from a range of use cases to safeguard their critical infrastructure technology, spanning the Core, Transport, and RAN. These use cases are designed to detect specific threats within telecoms networks and provide predefined actions for incident management and remediation.

CSPs and enterprises can benefit from Nokia’s XDR solutions by digitizing their operations in a hybrid-cloud, Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) environment, utilizing a usage-based subscription model. This enables them to leverage Nokia’s AI and machine learning capabilities to enhance their security posture.

The XDR security market is expected to witness significant growth due to the increasing sophistication and frequency of targeted cyberattacks. Industry estimates suggest that the market will expand by nearly 150 percent in the coming years, from $965 million in 2022 to approximately $2.4 billion by 2027.

Chris Ray, an analyst at GigaOm, praised Nokia’s flexible XDR solution, which can collect data from various multi-vendor sources, emphasizing its powerful automation capabilities and broad integration capabilities.

Rodrigo Brito, Head of Security, Business Applications at Nokia, said Nokia’s expertise in telecoms networks reinforces its position as a trusted provider of cutting-edge security solutions.
