“Customer experience and user numbers are the new sources of revenue. Only by understanding and embracing the need to fundamentally change the way we do business can we remain relevant to our customers,” said Claudio Contini, CEO of Telecom Italia Digital Solutions.

Ericsson digital telecom transformation services allow operators to gain understanding of customers, become more responsive, improve satisfaction and address needs on a personalized basis.

Telecoms can introduce and monetize the digital information, entertainment, finance and health services that customers want adopting the transition to the digital world.

Ericsson, Telstra and Qualcomm achieve 300Mbps speed with LTE Category 6

“Many operators are aware of the pressing need to transform themselves into digital telecoms, but few are aware of the steps required to get there. Only a holistic approach that reinvents the telecom operating model can ensure operators avoid major business model disruptions, and realize their digital telecom vision,” said Paolo Colella, vice president and head of Consulting and Systems Integration at Ericsson.

Meanwhile, Ericsson announced the launch of the Router 6000 series to enable the evolution to LTE Advanced, 5G and M2M.

Ericsson Router 6000 series consists of Router 6672 for access, the Router 6675 for pre-aggregation and the Router 6274 for metro aggregation. Ericsson Router 6000 series addresses the need for more capacity and higher density of 10GE/100GE interfaces in a compact form factor.
