Juniper Networks revenue up 3% to $1,098 million

Juniper Networks today said its revenue increased 3 percent year on year and decreased 17 percent quarter on quarter to $1,097.9 million in the first quarter of 2016.

The US-based technology company said it generated $784.5 million from Service Provider business and $313.4 from Enterprise business during Q1 2016.

Juniper Networks generated $504.1 million from routing, $175.5 million from switching, $73.4 million from security and $344.9 million from services.

The telecom and enterprise networking vendor said Americas contributed $628.2 million, while $285.4 million came from Europe, Middle East, and Africa and $184.3 million from Asia Pacific.

Juniper posted net income of $91.4 million, an increase of 14 percent year on year and a decrease of 54 percent sequentially.

“While our results for the March quarter were disappointing, we remain constructive on the full year and encouraged by early customer feedback on our recently introduced new products,” said Rami Rahim, chief executive officer at Juniper Networks.

Juniper Networks said its Q2 revenues will be approximately $1,190 million, plus or minus $30 million, which includes approximately $10 million to $15 million related to BTI Systems.
