Infinera showcases 2 Tb/s small form factor DTN-X platform at OFC/NFOEC

By Telecom Lead Team: Infinera, a provider
of digital optical networking solutions, announced that it will
participate at OFC/NFOEC. Also, the company revealed its plans for the first
public demonstration of its 2 Tb/s small form factor DTN-X platform.

At the conference, Infinera will feature the Infinera
Express mobile demonstration lab, showcasing the latest Digital Optical Networking
solutions designed for the Terabit Age.

Inside the demonstration lab, the company will have on
display a pair of DTN-X platforms configured with 500 Gb/s FlexCoherent
super-channels.

The Infinera Express will also showcase the DTN
platform which interoperates with the DTN-X for cost effective service
delivery. Both the DTN and DTN-X boast an 8th generation common
intelligent GMPLS control plane along with a common DNA management system for
rapid service turn up via point and click provisioning, auto-discovery and
automated service restoration.

Infinera’s DTN-X platform is the industry’s only
super-channel DWDM solution based on 500 Gb/s photonic integrated circuits
(PICs) and integrates OTN switching and a GMPLS control plane without any
performance compromise.

At OFC/NFOEC, Infinera will be providing the first public
demonstration of the half-rack small form factor XTC-4 chassis with 2 Tb/s of
integrated OTN switching and simulating typical high-bandwidth transport links
on customer networks.

Infinera’s executives and engineers will also make
presentations at the conference, addressing new developments in technologies
that enable next-generation optical networking solutions including photonic
integration and coherent transmission.

OFC/NFOEC takes place at the Los Angeles Convention
Center from March 4th through 8th in Los Angeles, CA.

Recently,  Infonetics Research ranked Infinera the number-one supplier in the North America
terrestrial long-haul WDM transport and ROADM market.

The ranking demonstrates the company’s continual growth
and market reach.
