Huawei to upgrade network for United Wireless

Huawei announced that it has been selected by United
Wireless to swap out the existing network and install its industry-leading
SingleRAN wireless solution in Kansas to support the infrastructure needs of
its customers.

According to the contract, Huawei’s SingleRAN solution
will include LTE and CDMA core technology to meet subscribers’ increasing data
service needs. With its rural landscape, telecommunications customers in Kansas
are challenged by outdated networks that inhibit high-performance video
streaming and fast web browsing.

Huawei’s simplified SingleRAN solution, packaged into one
network, will ensure that customers are provided the flexibility to enjoy
today’s technology with the ability to scale for future advancements. Huawei
will be wholly responsible for the new network, including installation,
integration and commissioning new equipment.

Huawei successfully outperformed all
competitive solution providers and was selected based on its ability to exceed
all technical requirements,” said Charles Ding, president of Huawei North
America.

“We are impressed with Huawei’s ability to provide a
high-performance, high-speed network that will significantly improve our
customers’ overall technology experience,” said Craig Mock, general
manager, United Wireless.

United Wireless will be utilizing Huawei’s infrastructure
to deploy its new 4G LTE network in addition to upgrading the existing 3G
system.

Huawei and EMOZE recently announced the signing
of a world-wide license agreement.

According to the agreement, Huawei will pre-embed the
EMOZE push email solution on Huawei’s MediaTek, Qualcomm and Android handsets,
and on Huawei’s Android tablet devices.
