Huawei, Ericsson and ZTE increase share in telecom network business

Huawei, Ericsson and ZTE have increased their share in the global telecom network business in 2020.

Huawei has increased its market share in the global telecom network business in 2020 to 31 percent from 28 percent in 2019.

ZTE has increased its share in the global telecom network market to 10 percent in 2020 from 9 percent in 2019.

Ericsson has also increased its market share to 15 percent in the telecom network business in 2020 from 14 percent in 2019.

Nokia and Cisco have lost their share.

Nokia’s share in the telecom network business dropped to 15 percent in 2020 from 16 percent in 2019.

Cisco’s share in the telecom network business touched 6 percent in 2020 from 7 percent in 2019.

Estimates suggest the overall telecom equipment market – Broadband Access, Microwave & Optical Transport, Mobile Core & Radio Access Network, SP Router & Carrier Ethernet Switch (CES) – rose 7 percent in 2020, growing at the fastest pace since 2011, said Dell’Oro Group in its research report.

The analysis contained in these reports suggests revenue rankings remained stable between 2019 and 2020, with Huawei, Nokia, Ericsson, ZTE, Cisco, Ciena, and Samsung ranked as the top seven suppliers, accounting for 80 percent to 85 percent of the total market.
