Eltel bags LTE network contract from Huawei in Germany

Eltel, a provider of technical services for infrastructure networks in Europe, has signed a 3-year frame agreement with Huawei for implementing LTE and modernization roll outs for a mobile operator in Germany.

The size of the contract is estimated to be approximately EUR 20 million over the three year period to implement LTE technology during 2016 to 2018.

The LTE 4G agreement consists of site planning and site design, network implementation, civil works and network integration and commissioning for the network of one of the leading German mobile operators in the western part of Germany.

Eltel has approximately 9300 employees. In 2014 Eltel’s net sales amounted to EUR 1,242 million.

Dariush Rezai, president of Eltel Mobile Communication, said: “The new contract further strengthens Eltel’s growing market share in the German market, which is one of Eltel’s strategic growth areas.”
