CommScope to display three significant network components at SCTE Cable-Tec Expo

CommScope, a global provider in infrastructure solutions for
communications networks will showcase network technologies which will help
operators to improve network intelligence, technology and energy conversation
during upcoming SCTE Cable-Tec Expo.

The company will showcase how these three significant
components of a network can fetch rewards for cable and multi-system operators
(MSOs) in cost savings and improved performance.

Ric Johnsen, senior vice president, Broadband, CommScope
said, “We work with our customers to understand the specific business
challenges they face and then develop solutions to help them achieve their
critical goals. Cost effectively managing the increasing demand for bandwidth
tops the list of customer concerns, and CommScope offers a variety of solutions
to help operators overcome this challenge.”

During the 3-day expo November 15-17 in Atlanta, the company will showcase how operators can boost
their network’s performance and efficiency by implementing bandwidth-enhancing
technology, intelligent networking solutions and energy conservation solutions.

As operators’ networks evolve to accommodate more IP based
services, they can deploy CommScope’s innovative and wideband edge
QAM (quadrature amplitude modulation) solution. It can maximize a
network’s flexibility by allowing operators to roll out their existing voice,
video and data services plus support higher bandwidth and next-generation
services over HFC (hybrid fiber coax) networks without the need for additional
hardware or service disruptions. In addition to improving a headend’s density, QAM
is designed to reduce power consumption in hub environments through
consolidation of equipment (requires less power for equipment and for HVAC).

CommScope will also advise MSOs on how to add intelligence
into their networks, allowing them to make adjustments to parameters improving
network performance and operational efficiency. Moreover, is the advancement of
CommScope’s hydrogen fuel cell technology and cooling solutions will also be
discussed at the expo.

This is just one
example of how CommScope is working to help operators maximize the
effectiveness of their network,” Johnsen added.

CommScope recently launched an energy conservation initiative that supports the industry’s global
efforts in reducing power consumption, greenhouse gas emissions and operating
costs.
