Fibre optic market growth trend

The global fibre optic market is expected to have reached $3.3 billion in 2017 due to the increasing demand for internet and growing FTTx.

The report from Visiongain said internet applications such as video streaming, OTT content, and loT have resulted in demand for higher bandwidth. Advances in technology to improve bandwidth and lower the attenuation rate have created opportunities in the fibre optics market.

Optical Cable Corporation (OCC), Fujikura, Sterlite Technologies, Corning, Prysmian, Yangtze Optical Fibre and Cable, Finolex Cable, among others active in the fibre optic market.
