CommScope revenue up 6%, reports lower sales in Asia Pacific

CommScope Holding has posted revenue of $1.24 billion (+6 percent), operating income of $165 million (+21 percent), and net income of $66 million in the second quarter of 2018.
CommScope revenue marketsCommScope achieves sales growth in the North America and Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) regions. CommScope observed weaker sales in the Asia-Pacific region including India, China and Japan.

CommScope CEO Eddie Edwards said: “The growth in North America in our Mobility segment and Outdoor Network Solutions business reflects our technology, scale and customer relationships.”

CommScope generated revenue of $740 million (+2 percent) from Connectivity Solutions and $499 million (+11 percent) from Mobility Solutions segment.

The revenue growth in Connectivity Solutions was driven primarily by strength in the EMEA region.

Mobility Solutions revenue grew driven by double-digit growth in North America coupled with less pronounced increases in Latin America and EMEA. CommScope said its Mobility Solutions business posted lower sales in the Asia-Pacific region.

CommScope has made progress identifying new opportunities to accelerate its long-term growth prospects.

CommScope is targeting revenue of $1.19 billion – $1.24 billion with operating income of $145 million – $169 million in the third quarter and revenue of $4.675 billion – $4.825 billion with operating income of $540 million – $585 million in 2018.
