CommScope inks agreement with Etisalat for wireless solutions

CommScope today announced international frame agreement with Etisalat to provide its wireless solutions.

Etisalat aims to upgrade its wireless networks and deploy new technologies across the Middle East and Africa, including LTE in selected markets.

CommScope will supply base station antennas, filters, high quality coaxial cables and connectors and other radio frequency (RF) network solutions as part of the deal.

“This agreement with CommScope reflects our commitment to provide state-of-the-art networks with reliable connectivity and innovative services. It is also indicative of Etisalat’s ongoing pursuit of innovation through partnerships,” said Obaid Bokisha, CPO-EG, Etisalat Group.

The Etisalat Group, a leading telecom operator in the Middle East, has invested AED 3,451 million on capital expenditure (Capex) in the six month period ended 30 June 2015 against AED 4,323 million in the six month period ended 30 June 2014.

Consolidated revenue of Etisalat rose 17 percent to AED 26,213 million, while profit dipped by AED 820 million to AED 3,712 million.
