CommScope India Goa manufacturingCommScope has completed 20 years of manufacturing in India, one of the leading telecom markets in the world.

The US-based CommScope is manufacturing network infrastructure solutions to transport large amounts of data – targeting enterprise and network operators.

CommScope has a manufacturing unit in Goa to produce base station antennas, microwave antennas and fibre connectivity.

“CommScope is well positioned to address bandwidth needs through network technology that includes outdoor cellular towers infrastructure, small cells, distributed antenna systems, fibre optic connectivity and data centre infrastructure,” said Gavin Milton-White, vice president, Enterprise, Asia Pacific, CommScope.

CommScope views India’s growth as an opportunity to develop and test technology that will help in its drive to add greater automation to its global manufacturing network and support its operations workforce in improving quality, efficiency and speed, said Antonio do Rego, vice president and managing director, India Operations.

Navin Vohra, vice president, Service Provider, Asia Pacific, CommScope, said the Goa manufacturing and design operations align with the Make in India initiative, helping to transform India into a global design and manufacturing hub.

CommScope has operations in nine India locations, including Goa, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Mumbai, New Delhi and Pune offering technology jobs to 3,400 employees.

CommScope Holding posted 1.5 percent drop in revenue to $1.12 billion with net income of $34 million in the first quarter of 2018.
