Cisco revenue break-up for second quarter revealed

Cisco lost three points in telecom service provider router market share in 2013
Enterprise networking vendor Cisco said its revenue rose 2 percent to $11,927 million in second quarter ended January 23, 2016.

Net income of Cisco grew 31 percent to $3.1 billion.

Chuck Robbins, Cisco chief executive officer, said: “We’re managing the company on two fronts. We’re focused on continued strong execution in the near term while investing in the innovation to lead our customers into the future.”

Cisco generated $3,483 million (–4 percent) revenue from Switching, $1,845 million (+5 percent) from NGN Routing, $1,019 million (+3 percent) from Collaboration, $822 million (–3 percent) from Data Center, $613 million from Wireless, $569 million (+37 percent) from Service Provider Video, $462 million (+11 percent) from Security business.

Cisco said Americas contributed $6,912 million (–3 percent) revenue, EMEA $3,088 million and Asia Pacific Japan and China $1,927 million (+10 percent).
