Switching vendor revenue in India increased 25.7 percent during 4Q421 to $163.1 million thanks to spending by services, telecom, manufacturing, and government.
Cisco dominated the Ethernet Switch market with 54.8 percent share during 4Q21, followed by Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Juniper. ODM business in India had a significant growth during 4Q21 owing to the hyperscaler investments.
India’s router market revenue rose 0.1 percent to $75.1 million in Q4. Service providers, which contributed to 61.4 percent of the router investments, were primarily responsible for the decline.
Service Provider deployments declined 11.1 percent during 4Q21. Telecom vendor investments were mostly centered around refreshes, bandwidth optimization requirements, building edge clouds, investments ahead of 5G rollouts, etc.
Enterprise router investments grew 25.1 percent. Apart from telecommunications other key verticals for routing include manufacturing, finance, and services.
Cisco leads the router market with a 62.8 percent market share in 4Q21 followed by Nokia and Juniper.
India’s WLAN revenue rose 4.5 percent to $64.5 million. Enterprise WLAN segment rose 45.4 percent and consumer WLAN declined 22 percent.
TP-Link has a market share of 24.1 percent in the WLAN segment during 4Q21. Within the enterprise-class WLAN segment, Cisco was the market leader with a 19.7 percent market share followed by HPE with 18.1 percent.
