Aviat Networks launches microwave communications platform with security suite

By Telecom Lead Team: Aviat Networks, a provider of
microwave networking solutions, has launched security software suite for the
Eclipse platform.

The company claims that Aviat Networks has released the
most comprehensive set of security features to enable network operators to
build more secure hybrid and all-packet microwave networks than ever before.

The Eclipse Strong Security Suite offers a secure
communication by encrypting connection, including payload and management
traffic, over the air with up to 256-bit AES encryption to prevent attacks and
eavesdropping.

Aviat Networks’ strong security suite incorporates secure
management, which provides extensive security features including encryption and
access control based on industry proven security standards, such as SNMPv3, TLS
v1.2 secure tunneling, RADIUS client for centralized user account management
and much more.

“Since 2005, we have been offering security to the
microwave market in previous products. In fact, we have been a pioneer in
building security into licensed microwave, and with the release of our Eclipse
Strong Security, we offer the most comprehensive security suite in commercial
microwave,” says Shaun McFall, senior vice president and chief marketing
officer, Aviat Networks.

The security suite is developed in cooperation with Tier
1 service providers as well as leaders in other industries such as critical
infrastructure. The Eclipse Strong Security solution implements features that
go beyond current standards to ensure the highest level of security unique in
the microwave transmission market.
