Alcatel-Lucent veteran Howard Sears joins Tecore Networks

Alcatel-Lucent veteran Howard Sears has joined Tecore Networks as vice president of Sales.

Tecore Networks, a supplier of American-made 3G and 4G LTE mobile network infrastructure, said Sears will lead the sales of the company’s next generation of Wireless Networks in North America and its Intelligent Network Access Controller (iNAC) Managed Access solution portfolio globally.

At Alcatel-Lucent, where he worked for eight years, Sears served as its wireless chief technical officer for U.S. major accounts. In their wireless division, o Sears supported Tier 2-5 customers with o solutions across multiple technologies; LTE, small-cells, WiMAX, CDMA, UMTS, and GSM.

In addition, he was also responsible for Sales and developing end-to-end customer solutions and strategies associated with 2G/3G/4G LTE evolution in key areas, such as: RF and RAN evolutions, Broadband Access, IP/Ethernet Transport, Core Switching, EPCs, VoLTE/IMS, and next generation multimedia applications.

He also held technology leadership positions at Suncom Wireless and AT&T Wireless.
