Alcatel-Lucent said its revenue rose 5.4 percent to 3,429 million euros or $3.75 billion in the third quarter of 2015.

With the positive growth, Alcatel-Lucent has beaten Nokia Networks in terms of revenue growth in Q3 2015. Nokia Networks, which will be acquiring Alcatel-Lucent in a $17 billion deal, has posted 2 percent drop in Q3 revenue to $3.1 billion.

Alcatel-Lucent posted net loss of 206 million euros in Q3 2015 against net loss of 18 million euros in Q3 2014.

The Paris-based Alcatel-Lucent said it generated 1,608 million euros (+11 percent) from core networking and 1,811 million euros (1,807 million) from access.

1,416 million euros (+4 percent) came from North America, 797 million euros (+12 percent) from Europe, 779 million euros (+8 percent) from Asia Pacific and 437 million euros (-5 percent) from the rest of the world.

“As Nokia announced last week, the last major regulatory approvals have been secured allowing the proposed transaction to go ahead. The process is now moving into its final stages, and between the two companies, we are extremely confident of concluding it, as previously indicated, in the first quarter of next year,” said Philippe Camus, chairman and CEO of Alcatel-Lucent.
