Smartphone major Vivo will open 250 retail stores this year across metros and state capitals to enhance customer experience.
The target of the Chinese smartphone brand is to reach 600 retail shops in 2020 across the country.
Vivo announced the launch of its innovative experiential store – with 1800 sq. ft. in area — in Thane, Maharashtra.
Nipun Marya, director – Brand Strategy, Vivo India, said: “The offline channel has been an essential part of our go-to-market strategy, and we shall continue to invest in this channel. We intend to launch more than 250 exclusive stores in 2020, taking the total number to 600.”
The experience centre features an interactive touch enabled LED screen for customers to view and compare features. It houses gaming, VR and customer interaction zones.
Vivo is offering 10 percent cash-back on all bank credit cards, debit cards and EMI on all smartphones above INR 10,000 till 29 February.
Vivo grabbed 24.7 percent market share in December 2019 making it the #1 offline brand in the country. Vivo has also become the second largest smartphone brand in India beating Samsung during Q4 2019.
