Lava brings Pro 20 smartphone that weighs 112 grams for Rs 13,999

Indian smartphone vendor Lava International today announced Pro 20 that weighs 112 grams for a price of Rs 13,999.

The company announced Pro 30 in January 2014. There are several similarities between Pro 20 and Pro 30, Lava admits.

The strategy behind Lava Pro 20 is to offer better smartphone features at a lower price as compared with Pro 30.

Hari Om Rai, chairman & managing director, Lava International, said: “With the tremendous response that we received after the launch of Iris Pro 30, we are now launching another product in this series to address similar needs at a different price point.”

Lava Pro 20 main specifications include 7.7mm thickness, 4.7’’ qHD (540×960 pixels) IPS display, 16.7 Million Colour output display, 1.2 GHz quad core processor, 1 GB RAM., 4 GB internal memory that is expandable up to 32 GB, 8 MP Auto Focus back camera with LED flash light, 2000 mAh battery, etc.

Iris Pro 20 comes with CABC power saving technology enables the battery to last 30 percent more compared to conventional smartphone batteries. The technology makes the backlight brighter or dimmer depending on the image being displayed ensuring reduced battery consumption, Lava said today.

The dual SIM smartphone provides 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth support along with other connectivity features like OTG, USB tethering and EDGE.

Lava Iris Pro20 will be available in Navy blue color across national retail chain stores, multi-brand outlets across India and online stores soon.
