Discovery Communications, a non-fiction media company,
announced its global partnership with Huawei Device, for the development of the
Huawei-Discovery Expedition phone. This partnership signals Huawei’s increasing
presence in the Americas, Europe, Australia, Asia, China and other global
markets.
The Huawei-Discovery Expedition phone is part of the
expanding Discovery Expedition line, the official lifestyle brand of Discovery
Channel. This feature phone is water-resistant, dustproof and anti-shock, and
includes a GPS, torch, compass and G-sensor, making it compatible with travel
and outdoor activities.
It is equipped with Facebook and Twitter social
networking capabilities, allowing consumers to share their outdoor adventures
and memories with friends and loved ones. The phone will be commercially
available in the fourth quarter of 2011 and will retail through operators and
distributors around the world.

Huawei-Discovery Expedition phone collaboration is the first of many to come

The Huawei-Discovery Expedition phone will be promoted
through a comprehensive marketing campaign which includes on-air and online

media assets.
