Dialogic unveils software solution to track mobile video quality of experience

By Telecom Lead Team: Dialogic, a provider of communications
technologies, has launched Dialogic VisionVideo Software Solution to measure
and track the perceptual quality of mobile video.

The software solution enables companies that deliver
mobile video services to determine the perceptual quality of experience (QoE)
being received by viewers.

The VisionVideo Software Solution is utilized by companies that
create and deliver mobile video including broadcasters, advertisers, content
aggregators, and network operators.

With this solution, companies can position themselves to improve
viewer experience, and ultimately open opportunities to monetize mobile video
services by understanding the perceptual quality of the viewer.

The VisionVideo Software Solution opens important doors for
companies involved in creating and distributing mobile video, giving them
information to help establish new and creative – yet still grounded – business
models,” said Uno Mehta, vice president and general manager of Dialogic’s Video Business Unit.

The VisionVideo Software Solution measures and
reports perceptual mobile video quality as experienced by
viewers. It provides important information for diagnosing and isolating
problems and targeting perceptual quality issues.

By delivering mobile video QoE, service providers and other
companies can help better position themselves to retain customers and
build a positive brand image around quality.

The company has also announced that VisionVideo is being
launched with MobiTV..

MobiTV has long been a believer in seamlessly delivering an
overall high quality of experience while maintaining network efficiency. We
believe Dialogic’s VisionVideo Software will be a valuable solution to achieve
this goal,” said Kay Johansson, CTO at MobiTV..

Last month, Dialogic
launched its software-based media server for mobile, broadband and cloud
environments.

Dialogic PowerMedia Extended Media Server (PowerMedia
XMS) enables service providers to deliver standards-based video
conferencing features to create new and to enhance existing audio and web
conferencing services.
