Apple is pushing the boundaries of AI with the launch of iPhone 16e, powered by the advanced A18 chip.

This next-generation processor delivers more speed, efficiency, and intelligence, making tasks seamless and enabling powerful new AI-driven experiences.
With an 80 percent faster 6-core CPU compared to the A13 Bionic, a 4-core GPU for stunning visuals and ray tracing, and a 16-core Neural Engine optimized for large generative models, iPhone 16e is built for intelligence at every level.
iPhone 16e will be available in white and black in 128GB, 256GB, and 512GB storage capacities, starting at $599 or $24.95 per month for 24 months.
“iPhone 16e packs in the features our users love about the iPhone 16 lineup, including breakthrough battery life, fast performance powered by the latest-generation A18 chip, an innovative 2-in-1 camera system, and Apple Intelligence,” said Kaiann Drance, Apple’s vice president of Worldwide iPhone Product Marketing.
Apple Intelligence brings powerful new capabilities to iPhone, from intuitive photo editing with the Clean Up tool to advanced natural language search in Photos. Creative expression is enhanced with Image Playground, Genmoji, and Writing Tools, allowing users to generate unique visuals and refine their text with ease. Siri is now more conversational, remembers context across requests, and can provide detailed product knowledge. Users can type to Siri and rely on its expanded intelligence for everyday assistance.
Integrated access to ChatGPT within Writing Tools and Siri ensures users can tap into AI expertise without switching apps. Apple prioritizes privacy, allowing users to access ChatGPT for free without an account while keeping their data protected. IP addresses are masked, requests are not stored, and users control when and how they engage with ChatGPT.
Apple Intelligence redefines AI privacy by ensuring most models run directly on-device, keeping personal data secure. For more complex requests, Private Cloud Compute extends intelligence into the cloud without compromising privacy — data is used solely to fulfill user requests and never stored or shared with Apple.
The Action button on iPhone 16e enhances usability, offering quick access to essential functions and in-app features. It also unlocks a revolutionary visual intelligence experience, allowing users to identify objects, summarize text, translate languages, and even search Google or leverage ChatGPT for problem-solving. With full control over when third-party tools are used, Apple ensures AI remains powerful, personal, and private.
