Eutelsat has announced the appointment of Jean-Francois Fallacher as its new Chief Executive Officer, marking a key leadership transition as the company advances its integration with OneWeb and positions itself for the IRIS2 multi-orbit constellation initiative.
The decision was made during a Board Meeting on May 4, 2025, based on the recommendation of the Nomination and Governance Committee, and will take effect on June 1, 2025.
Jean-Francois Fallacher brings experience from a distinguished career in the telecommunications sector, most recently serving as Executive Vice President and CEO of Orange France. His prior roles included leading Orange’s operations in Spain, Romania, and Poland, and earlier positions at Wanadoo and Sofrecom.
He is a graduate of Ecole Polytechnique and Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Telecommunications. Jean-Francois Fallacher succeeds Eva Berneke, who has led Eutelsat since January 2022 through pivotal milestones, including the merger with OneWeb, the company’s selection for the EU IRIS2 project, and a pioneering ground segment divestment.
Eutelsat confirmed that its third quarter results, to be released on May 15, 2025, are expected to align with forecasts, maintaining its financial guidance for the year.
