Revolutionizing Industrial Connectivity: Digi International Launches AI-Powered IX25 5G Router
Digi International has introduced the Digi IX25, a rugged, TAA-compliant industrial 5G router built for secure and scalable connectivity in critical infrastructure. The device combines LTE, 5G RedCap, and 5G eMBB in a single platform, along with four Gigabit Ethernet ports to simplify deployments and reduce hardware complexity. It includes active eSIM for zero-touch provisioning, integrated edge computing capabilities, and AI-driven network management through Digi Remote Manager. Designed for harsh industrial environments, the IX25 supports extreme temperatures and meets key compliance standards, enabling reliable and efficient performance in demanding operational conditions.
Space Race Shift: Eutelsat Turns to ISRO for Next-Gen Satellite Launch Boost
French satellite operator Eutelsat is in talks with the Indian Space Research Organisation ISRO to secure additional satellite launch options as it looks to diversify beyond SpaceX and Europe’s Ariane rockets. The discussions come after Eutelsat lost access to Russia’s Soyuz launchers following the Ukraine conflict, prompting a shift in strategy toward more reliable and geopolitically stable partners. After its 2023 merger with OneWeb, the company is accelerating the expansion of its low Earth orbit satellite constellation, increasing demand for launch capacity. India is emerging as a key partner in this effort, supported by its ambitions to significantly grow its space economy over the coming decade.
Pakistan’s Spectrum Boom Draws Big Bet from VEON
The Pakistan government has boosted investor confidence after a successful mobile spectrum auction, securing strong backing from VEON Ltd. and its subsidiary Jazz. The auction nearly tripled available spectrum, strengthening digital infrastructure and supporting faster broadband and future 5G rollout. Jazz emerged as the largest winner, acquiring 190 MHz of spectrum with an investment of about $239 million, signaling long term commitment to the market. Kaan Terzioglu commended the transparent and reform focused auction process, highlighting its role in driving innovation and growth. The development reflects increasing confidence in Pakistan’s telecom sector and its digital transformation ambitions.
