Bouygues Telecom Wholesale Deploys Mplify APIs to Automate Connectivity Sales
Bouygues Telecom’s wholesale division has adopted Connectbase’s Mplify API adaptor to automate connectivity quotations, service eligibility checks and pricing information exchanges with other telecommunications operators. Announced on October 13, 2026, the integration connects Bouygues Telecom Wholesale’s commercial systems with standardized Mplify Lifecycle Service Orchestration APIs. Operators using compatible systems can obtain serviceability and pricing information without developing individual custom interfaces. The deployment supports Bouygues Telecom Wholesale’s international expansion and enables faster onboarding of wholesale customers. Connectbase’s platform will translate data between the operator’s internal systems and industry-standard interfaces. The companies have not disclosed contract value, the number of connected operators or measured reductions in quotation processing time.
Huawei NG WAN Reaches More Than 60 Telecom Operators with Level 4 Network Automation
Huawei reports that more than 60 telecommunications operators worldwide have deployed its next-generation wide-area network technology. The company disclosed additional commercial performance figures on October 14, including a South African operator achieving Level 4 autonomy on its IP network. Huawei also reported a Chinese carrier deployment supporting healthcare applications that reduced hospital computing costs by 30 percent and increased private-line average revenue per user fivefold. Its lossless networking technology supports transmission over 1,000 kilometers with reported remote computing efficiency exceeding 96 percent. The architecture supports automated fault management, network changes and optimization.
Eutelsat Shares Surge 23% as Ukraine Flags Starlink Restrictions
European satellite operator Eutelsat’s shares surged 23 percent on October 14, marking their biggest single-day gain in 16 months, after Ukraine reported restrictions on SpaceX’s military-grade Starlink service. Investors anticipated that geopolitical tensions could encourage European governments and customers to seek alternatives to US-owned satellite infrastructure. Luxembourg-based satellite operator SES also gained 2.6 percent. Eutelsat’s OneWeb network provides low-Earth-orbit satellite connectivity and is viewed as a potential European alternative to Starlink. However, OneWeb operates more than 600 satellites, compared with Starlink’s approximately 10,000. Analysts cautioned that replacing Starlink would require new user terminals and supporting infrastructure, while differences in constellation size and network architecture could constrain military applications.
