Airtel veteran Drew Kelton joins T-Mobile as EVP of B2B

Telecom Lead India: Bharti Airtel veteran Drew Kelton has joined T-Mobile USA as executive vice president of B2B.

The newly created post is part of T-Mobile USA’s focus on enterprise business.

Most recently, Kelton was president of Airtel Business in India. He revamped Airtel’s strategy, product and service portfolio and returned Airtel Business to growth in an extraordinarily competitive market.

In the last 6 months, Airtel, India’s # 1 telecom operator, has lost several key executives including its India and South Asia CEO Sanjay Kapoor.

Prior to Airtel Business, Kelton served as managing director for Telstra International, where he established the company as a thriving player in the Asia Pacific region.

At T-Mobile, Kelton will report to president and CEO John Legere.

“Drew’s track record as a strategic and visionary leader in the industry and his passion for building highly effective teams couldn’t be better suited to our plans to redefine the wireless experience for business customers and shake up the space – just as we’re doing in the consumer market,” Legere said.

Frank Sickinger, senior vice president of B2B, will continue in his role, reporting to Kelton.
