Shemaroo Joins Hand with the state owned Telco MTNL

 

MTNLin
association with Shemaroo Entertainment Ltd, a leading content provider and
aggregator in the Indian Digital space, announced the launch of 2G and 3G
(Video IVR, WAP and IVR ) Value Added Services across Delhi and Mumbai.

 

Shemaroo will not only be actively involved in packaging
the content but will also manage the same on MTNL via its own 3G Video Delivery
Platform.

 

MTNL users will now be able to enjoy Live Prayers from
all major shrines of India like Shirdi Sai Dham, Kashi Vishwanath, Shani
Shinegnapur, Ashtavinayak, Gurudwara PatnaSaheb, Haji Ali Darga (Mumbai)
amongst others through the service called Divine Prayers.  

 

The service will broadcast live feeds from shrines 24 X 7
X 365. In addition to live darshan, devotional video songs, Mandir Darshan and
Bhakti Videos form the part of the service as well.

 

Shemaroo has a vast repertoire of content packaged
innovatively for the MTNL consumers. MTNL users will now be able to watch their
favourite movies on Movie Talkies’
service. It is designed for the gen- next consumers to enjoy Mini Movies, which
are 15 minutes version of a movie, edited smartly and packaged with popular
songs, important scenes and dialogues along with a narrator.

 

The collection of movies covers different genres and
languages. Few of the popular films available on ‘Movie Talkies’ are Ishqiya,
Don and Namak Halal among others.

 

Shemaroo also launches its universalshortcode 58800 to provide both voice and video
based services to MTNL Mobile users. The subscribers will be able to access the
Voice and Video services on 58800″ both through browsing and subscription
models. Above-mentioned Divine
Prayers and Movie Talkies services can be accessed by making a video call on this
universal shortcode 58800“.

 

On this occasion, Shemaroo is also launching its Wapsite.
Shemaroo provides a vast range of content on the WAP site that includes movie
scenes and songs, 15 min movies and a variety of other videos in different
languages like Hindi, Punjabi, Marathi, Gujarati, Telugu, Malayalam, Bengali
and Rajasthani among others.

MTNL recently announced
that its existing mobile users in Delhi and Mumbai will have an option to
choose its 3G services without official migration and incurring additional cost.

 

This is a big opportunity to become the number one 3G
operator in India’s two metro telecom circles – Delhi and Mumbai. MTNL has 2.65
million wireless users in Delhi and 2.85 million users in Mumbai. If all these
users are ready to migrate to 3G, it will be a big boost for the operator.
