Ozonetel and Gharpay to unveil offline payments through interactive voice response

Ozonetel Systems, a provider of the
cloud telephony technology in India, 
has entered into a
partnership with Gharpay, a provider of doorstep cash payment network to offer
offline payments through Interactive Voice Response (IVR).


As per the agreement, Ozonetel Systems, hosted cloud
telephony platform KooKoo will provide the telephony interface, while Gharpay
will take care of the logistics for collecting payments. The companies will be
able to offer a ‘pay cash after/before delivery’ payment option to customers
who do not want to use their credit or debit cards over the phone.


Partnering with Gharpay gives Ozonetel the ability to
provide customers from e-commerce /e-tailing verticals and service verticals,
the most efficient offline payments through Interactive Voice Response. The
combination of ground breaking innovation in cloud telephony from Ozonetel and
Gharpay’s cutting edge technology in cash payment network for
e-commerce/e-tailing industry is a potent combination. In India over 95 percent
of retail transactions still carried out through cash,” said CSN Murthy,

According to market estimates e- commerce players are
reporting between 40-60 percent of their overall transactions through COD (cash
after/before delivery payment option).
