Wavelink offers real-time TEM for mobile devices

Wavelink
Corporation announced it will begin offering proactive, real-time telecom
expense management (TEM) as part of the Wavelink Avalanche family of products.

Wavelink
Avalanche Expense Management proactively monitors, reports and analyzes data,
voice, SMS and roaming usage so businesses can recognize potential overages and
analyze usage patterns, which could drastically reduce their telecom expenses
for mobile devices.

Real-time
expense management from Wavelink is unique
in that it goes beyond traditional TEM products that allow customers to analyze
past billing data.

With Wavelink Avalanche Expense Management,
organizations can get real-time data on network and data usage and proactively
manage their telecom and wireless costs. Users and network administrators can
be alerted when devices are potentially about to incur higher costs associated
with roaming, plan overages, large data transfers and changing usage patterns.

Telecom
expenses are difficult to manage because costs can vary based on monthly usage,
but IT departments are still responsible for meeting a fixed budget. Avalanche
Expense Management allows them to proactively manage their costs and prevent
unnecessary expenses. The best part is that it typically pays for itself within
the first month just from eliminating carrier overage charges,” said Stephen
Bemis, vice president of worldwide sales, Wavelink.

Users are
able to easily monitor their own data, voice and text usage on their device
with a quick summary as well as the ability to drill down on specific details
of their usage.

In addition
to seeing real-time usage, administrators can easily generate reports in order
to optimize their calling plans. Location tracking and roaming control can be
used to track devices that are roaming to minimize unexpected overages as well
as to locate lost or stolen devices.
