Telecom Lead India: TE Enterprise Networks, a division of
TE Connectivity, is showcasing its recently launched managed connectivity
solutions at Convergence India 2012.
The company is also demonstrating its Quareo managed
connectivity system featuring connection point identification (CPID)
technology.
In an interview with Telecom Lead, KK Shetty, director of
India and SAARC business at TE Enterprise & Telecom Networks said that the
company is offering end-to end solutions to the enterprise and telecom segments
that includes its latest offerings such as Quareo managed connectivity system
and AMPTRAC intelligent infrastructure management system featuring ninth-wire
technology.

Networks is a range of intelligent physical-layer management solutions for
communication networks based on new infrastructure configuration management
(ICM) software and a choice of two different hardware technologies.
The three key elements of the TE Managed Connectivity
portfolio are the ICM infrastructure configuration management software and the
AMPTRAC and Quareo hardware technologies.
TE’s Managed Connectivity solution enables higher
network availability, while lowering network costs, by integrating full
visibility of the physical layer into existing network management applications
– all the way from the data centre to the desktop,” Shetty said.
While talking on telecom segment, he added that almost
all major OEMs are using products of the company. Also, major carriers such as
Reliance Communications, Tata Teleservices, Bharti Airtel and state-run BSNL
and MTNL are its clients.
The company is also working with telecom gear makers such
as Nokia Siemens Networks and Ericsson.
The company deals directly with the service providers,
whilst its channel partners handle its wireless and FTTH businesses. Also, the
company also works with system integrators to deploy its products across enterprises.
TE provides end-to-end FTTH, WAN networks, equipments and
WAS for service providers.
We have 160 system integrators that take care of Telecom
and Enterprises deployments. We also give training to system integrators
through our paid training courses. The company has training center in Mumbai,
Delhi, Benguluru and Hyderabad,” Shetty added.
Its data centre and Enterprise segments is growing
constantly at 10 percent per year, whilst, its business from telecom segment is
growing at healthy 30 percent.
The company is aiming to tap the IT market (Telecom and
Enterprises included), which is presently worth of Rs 3,000 crore. Its FTTH and
wireless business are growing fast. However, FTTH is in its initial phase.
The company is also establishing its 25 acre R&D and
manufacturing unit in Bengluru, which will further help the company meet its
market requirements.
For 2012, the company is aiming at $14 billion revenue,
which will be increased at $20 million by 2015. The company earns its revenue
equally from U.S, Europe and Asia-Pacific markets. Also, the company is
expecting that its revenue from Asia-Pacific region will increase, as the
market is emerging and offers potential.
Recently, TE Connectivity introduced a new video distribution system (VDS) that enables
network managers to deliver HD RF and IP video over an existing data cabling
infrastructure without the need for coaxial cabling or any RF tuning.
