InFlight 911 Service to offer aircraft wide audio video communication during flights

InFlight Labs announced it is adding
the aircraft-wide InFlight 911 audio video recording system to its InFlight
Emergency Services portfolio.

“The new product, InFlight 911
Recorder is to ensure passenger safety, counterterrorism and aviation
security,” said Jay Bekanich, spokesperson for InFlight Labs.

With the help of inflight Wi-Fi providers,
InFlight 911 Recorder will record and stream 2-way audio and video over the
plane’s Wi-Fi Internet connection to Air Traffic Management and other
government agencies during an aircraft crisis.

“With one touch, captured video
recorded with the InFlight 911 Recorder can simultaneously redistributed to numerous
FAA, DHS and related government agencies for ‘shared situational awareness’ to
bring numerous key resources together within minutes of an in-air
emergency,” said Jay Bekanich, spokesperson for InFlight Labs.

Inflight 911 Services’ other emergency
communication products include InFlight 911 Messenger; a secure 2-way messaging
system that enables 2,000 character messages to be typed or selected from a
pre-defined library. All InFlight 911 Messenger’s communications contain 18
points of critical information about the flight details, flight crew and current
crisis situation as well as embedded GPS coordinates of the aircraft’s
location.
