Chinese multinational networking and telecommunication
equipment company Huawei Technologies has appointed an Indonesian IT company,
PT Virtus Technology Indonesia, as a distributor of its products to boost
company’s revenue.
Huawei has developed products that are meant to serve the public’s needs rather
than just companies. Other than government institutions, telecommunications,
finance, security, and insurance companies remain company’s potential clients.
Last year, we recorded US$28 billion in revenue. This
year, we want to increase it to $30.1 billion,” said Jeff Hwong, southern
Pacific regional sales director, Huawei.
We can help a local administration create a smart city
by developing advanced public transportation and traffic management systems,”
Hwong added.
Huawei recently announced that it has been selected
by United Wireless to swap out the existing network and install its
industry-leading SingleRAN wireless solution in Kansas to support the
infrastructure needs of its customers.
According to the contract, Huawei’s SingleRAN solution
will include LTE and CDMA core technology to meet subscribers’ increasing data
service needs. With its rural landscape, telecommunications customers in Kansas
are challenged by outdated networks that inhibit high-performance video
streaming and fast web browsing.
