Exalt solutions deliver double backhaul capacity in 6 and 11 GHz Bands

Telecom Lead America: Exalt Communications said that its
several models of its Air Series microwave backhaul radios will be
benefitted from the recent ruling from the Federal Communications
Commission that allows the use of wider channels in the 6 GHz Lower and 11 GHz
bands.

The ruling allows Exalt deliver double the backhaul capacity
in 6 and 11 GHz bands for the same CAPEX. The company said that service
providers and other network operators will now be able to use Exalt ExploreAir
and ExtremeAir systems to provide twice the single-carrier capacity.

Mark Davis, Exalt senior director of product marketing
said that many of the company’s customers have designed their networks around
ExploreAir and ExtremeAir systems in anticipation of this ruling.

He added that the company is committed to create the most
technologically advanced and forward-thinking microwave backhaul systems.

The company claims that it has specifically designed
ExploreAir, ExploreAir LR, ExploreAir HP, and ExtremeAir radios to support
the 80 MHz channels now available in the 11 GHz frequency band.

The company’s newest ExploreAir system, ExploreAir LR,
also supports the 60 MHz channels now available in the 6 GHz Lower band.

The FCC ruled that allowing wider channels in the 6 GHz
and 11 GHz bands will allow service providers and other network operators to
handle more capacity and offer faster data rates at much lower CAPEX than is
currently possible.

The ruling was in response to the explosive growth in the
demand for broadband services.

LEACO selects Exalt for backhaul network transition to All-IP

In April this year, LEACO, a rural telecommunications and
high-speed Internet provider serving southeastern New Mexico, deployed
Exalt microwave backhaul systems to upgrade its infrastructure to an
all IP-based network.
