C Spire Wireless turns to NetCracker BSS solution to consolidate billing and services actvities

Telecom Lead America:NetCracker Technology, a subsidiary of NEC Corporation, announced that C Spire Wireless has selected NetCracker’s convergent BSS solution to consolidate and manage all billing, customer account, and service activation activities for prepaid, postpaid, and hybrid customers.C Spire turned to NetCracker solution to implement a single, converged billing solution that will eliminate third-party components, streamline and optimize operations, reduce the need for customization, and support the launch of complex new products and services.

The change also will enable C Spire, a provider of wireless voice and data services and premier mobile communications devices,  to accommodate prepaid, postpaid, and hybrid customers.

“It was crucial that we update our billing platform from separate systems to a single, flexible, and converged solution to keep pace with the highly competitive and rapidly evolving wireless market,” said Carla Lewis, senior vice president of Information Technology for C Spire Wireless.

The BSS transformation will enable C Spire to provide a new level of service by supporting their rollout of creative new products and pricing plans that will enhance the customer experience and establish differentiation in the marketplace, said Sylvain Seignour, NetCracker’s vice president Americas and Europe.

NetCracker’s end-to-end BSS/OSS offering includes billing, customer care, online rating  and charging, resource and network management, IT platforms, and service fulfillment & assurance, as well as an extensive professional services portfolio that includes managed services and end-to-end outsourcing.
