Bharti Airtel appoints new managing director for Chad

 

Bharti Airtel, a global telecommunications company with
operations in 19 countries across Asia and Africa, announced the appointment of
Salia Gbane as the managing director for Chad.

 

Prior to his appointment as the managing director – Chad,
Salia was the commercial director at Airtel, Gabon.

 

Salia brings a wealth of experience from the
telecommunication, Banking, Oil and the Fast Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)
sectors with organizations such as Celtel, Shell, Nestle and Standard Chartered
Bank, where he held middle and senior level management positions over a span of
20 years.

 

Salia Gbane will replace Mbaye Sylla Khouma, who will be
relocating to Nairobi to join the Group Francophone Team after two and a half
years in Chad.

 

Bharti Airtel recently announced the appointment
of Anant Arora as CEO of the company’s B2C operations in Gujarat circle.

 

He will report to Raghunath Mandava – operations director
West. This is in line with the new organization structure that Bharti Airtel
recently announced for its India and South Asia operations.
