Telecom Lead India: Convergence India 2012 has been
welcomed by several exhibitors and participants.
Convergence India 2012 kicked off with the theme – India
Goes Digital. Several people liked the theme since India will focus more on
broadband and broadcasting in coming months.
However, several leading players such as Huawei, ZTE,
Nokia Siemens, etc did not participate at the event. Ericsson put up a stall
for its television division, a part of multimedia offerings.
Keeping pace with the changing industry trends, the expo
has a special focus on the broadcasting sector. A dedicated conference session
titled Roadmap for Digitization offered an opportunity to meet around 4,000
cable operators.
