Verimatrix hires Verizon executive Mike Kleiman as COO

Verimatrix has hired Verizon executive Mike Kleiman as chief operating officer (COO).

The newly created role of COO is expected to strengthen the company’s plans for rapid expansion of business presence. Verimatrix has already expanded its market presence in the last year, surpassing 50 million screens protected with more than 750 operators in 110+ countries.

At Verizon Digital Media Services, Kleiman served as COO of the New Products Division. Verizon acquired EdgeCast Networks, of which Kleiman served as both COO and CFO, overseeing its growth.

He played an important role in integrating the two companies and leading the expansion of Verizon’s global CDN infrastructure in the US, Europe, Asia Pacific, and Latin America markets.

Prior to that, he was CEO of Strive International, president of SolutionPro, CFO/general manager of HostPro, CFO/CIO of the Calibri Group, and vice president of finance/operations of the Scott Sports Group.
