Ciena to supply 100G coherent optical transport platform to Unitymedia KabelBW

Ciena will supply 100G coherent optical transport platform to Unitymedia KabelBW, a Liberty Global subsidiary in Germany, to upgrade its backbone network.

Though the company claims that the 100G coherent optical transport platform reduces operating costs and latency and increase its network elasticity, Ciena does not share specific details.
