Telecom Lead India: Broadcast digitization in India is likely to hit roadblock due to lack of availability of STBs for 38 cities in phase 2 of the cable digitization plan, said Sisir Pillai, chief strategy officer, DigiCable Network, at the Broadcast Digitization Summit organized by Telecom Lead in Mumbai.

Commenting on the upcoming trends in broadcasting, Pillai added that customers will be king as they will be able to get on-demand content anytime anywhere. Broadcasters need to devise strategies to make content more acceptable to the new generation of customers.
