BSNL co-branded smart phones, tablets, PCs, data cards to land

BSNL has partnered with Champion Computers to unveil co-branded smart phones, tablets, PCs and data cards.

This is for the first time that BSNL is partnering for a co-branded initiative, Champion Computers said on Thursday.

As part of the partnership, BSNL will offer its connectivity and Champion Computers will bring its products.

The state-run BSNL has launched a special 3G Data plan for tablets users which include 500MB free data + 50 minutes on-net voice calls per month for 6 months and free 500 MB data per month for 12 months.

“With the evolution of Internet, the usage of Internet-based applications has tremendously grown as it has now become convenient to carry out daily business tasks like banking and other tasks and the Champion products are a perfect solution for the same,” said BSNL Director – Consumer Mobility Anupam Srivastava.

Champion Computers in association the state-owned BSNL will bring out quality products at value price points.

“We are committed to offer such products which incorporate latest technology and offer effortless user-experience to the consumers at affordable price point,” said Champion Computers MD Kapil Wadhwa.

The company will be announcing new product specifications and pricing in the next couple of weeks.

Indian telecom operators such as Vodafone, Reliance Communications, Aircel, Tata Teleservices, MTS India, etc. are known for their phone bundling strategies. BSNL, which is in the process of enhancing revenue streams through a number steps, is taking co-branding as a new strategy to improve market presence.
