Arc selected by Emergent as consultant for Orient Express submarine cable system

Arc has been appointed by Emergent Telecommunications (Emergent) as the lead consultant for the Orient Express submarine cable system.
Optical fiber investmentArc, a joint venture between du and Batelco, will provide consultancy services related to network configuration, tendering, supply contract negotiation and documentation, and overall project management for the Orient Express cable.

The Orient Express cable will connect the UAE and Pakistan, enhancing the commercial relationship between the two countries. The Orient Express cable will offer high-bandwidth capacity, internet services, and transit facilities with low latency for local customers.

This is the first subsea cable system to connect Pakistan to the UAE directly, said Mahesh Jaishankar, CEO at Arc.

The 1,300km cable system will link between landing points in Karachi and Gwadar in Pakistan, and Kalba in the UAE.
