Ooredoo Myanmar Tech Age Girls program

Ooredoo Myanmar provides opportunities for young women across Myanmar to learn digital literacy and leadership skills through Tech Age Girls program 2020-21.
Ooredoo Myanmar Tech Age Girls programOrganized by Myanmar Book Aid and Preservation Foundation (MBAPF), Tech Age Girls (TAG) is one-year long program for young women aged 16-20 with the aim to equip them with essential leadership and digital technology knowledge. Each year over 100 young women from different communities are selected to participate in the program.

Ooredoo Myanmar has been supporting Tech Age Girls program since 2016 with connectivity and devices. Ooredoo Myanmar aims to double the number of selected participants and over 200 young women have been recruited to join the Tech Age Girls 2020-21.

“Tech Age Girls program will not only improve the participants’ own lives but also after the program, they will improve the quality of life in their communities by utilizing the leadership and digital skills which they have learned through the program,” U Tint Naing Htut, head of Corporate Communications of Ooredoo Myanmar, said.

The Tech Age Girls Program includes 3 phases of learning, which are ICT skills, soft skills and leadership summit. These 3 phases will start from December 2020 to October 2021. Tech Age Girls graduates can become mentors for future cohorts by joining a global network of over 1,000 alumni and enhance the ongoing development of communities in local and global.
