Telia CEO Johan Dennelind resigned

Telia Company CEO Johan Dennelind has resigned after becoming the head of the telecom operator on September 1, 2013.
TeliaSonera CEO Johan DennelindJohan Dennelind, who has a 12-month notice period in his job contract, will leave Telia in 2020. The telecom operator did not reveal the reasons for the departure of the CEO, who has been managing the transformation of the company for the past six years.

Telia said the exact point in time for the departure of Johan Dennelind depends on the search process for a new CEO. Telia in a statement on Sunday said that the company has started looking for a replacement for the CEO position.

Telia earlier reported sales of SEK 21.272 billion (–4.2 percent) and service revenues fell 1.4 percent during the second quarter of 2019.

EBITDA rose 8.1 percent to SEK 7.520 billion with EBITDA margin of 35.4 percent (31 percent). Telia’s operating income fell 12.7 percent to SEK 3.146 billion. Net income fell to SEK 1.651 billion from SEK 2.244 billion.
